Privacy policy
Last updated: 2026-10-17
Short version: Invoice AI Generator runs entirely in your browser. Your invoices, business details and client details are saved on your own device and are never sent to us or to anyone else. To understand how many people use the site, we use Google Analytics, which counts page visits. The site is free because it shows ads, served by PubThrive and Google. We never send your invoice data to either of them.
1. Who we are
This policy covers the website https://invoice-ai-generator.websaule.com ("Invoice AI Generator", "we", "us"), a free online tool for creating GST invoices.
2. What is stored, and where
When you use the tool, the following is saved only in your browser's storage (IndexedDB and localStorage) on the device you are using:
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Your business profile: name, address, GSTIN, state, UPI ID, invoice prefix, logo | So you don't have to type it again on every invoice |
| Clients you choose to save: name, address, GSTIN, state | To reuse them on future invoices |
| Your invoices: drafts, issued and cancelled | To show your invoice list and download PDFs again |
| A random device ID and this device's invoice series letter | To keep invoice numbers unique when a team uses several devices |
| Small settings, such as whether you've seen the PDF tip | To avoid showing the same tip twice |
This data never leaves your device. It is not uploaded, synced or shared, and we have no way to see, read, recover or delete it. The site also stores its own program files in your browser so it loads quickly; these contain no personal data.
3. What we do not collect
- No accounts, logins or passwords.
- No invoice data: nothing you type into the invoice tool is sent to Google Analytics, to advertisers, to our server or to anyone else.
- No payment information. The UPI QR code is generated in your browser; payments happen directly between your client's UPI app and your bank.
4. Analytics, advertising and cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 (by Google LLC) to see how many people visit, which pages they open and how they found us, so we can improve the site. It collects page visits, the page address and title, the referring website, device and browser type, and approximate location (city/country, derived from your IP address; Google Analytics does not log or store full IP addresses). We do not send it any invoice content, names, GSTINs or amounts.
Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_*) to tell visits apart, kept for up to 2 years. Advertising features and ad personalisation are turned off in Google Analytics. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, analytics cookies are off by default.
To opt out, block cookies for this site in your browser, use a content blocker, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The tool works the same either way. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google's privacy policy.
Advertising. Ads on this site are served by PubThrive and by third-party vendors, including Google. These vendors use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. Google's advertising cookies let it and its partners show you ads based on those visits. We never pass your invoice content, names, GSTINs or amounts to any ad vendor.
You can turn off personalised ads in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of other vendors' personalised-ad cookies at aboutads.info. See how Google uses cookies in advertising.
5. Server logs
Our hosting provider (Hostinger) automatically records standard web server logs when your browser requests a page: IP address, browser type, the page requested, the time and the referring page. These logs are used to keep the site secure and running, and are kept according to the hosting provider's retention policy. They never contain your invoice data.
6. When you email us
If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply to you and do not share it, sell it or add you to any mailing list.
7. How to delete your data
You are in full control. To delete everything the tool saved on a device, clear this site's data in your browser:
- Chrome / Edge: click the icon left of the address bar → Site settings → Delete data.
- Safari (Mac): Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data → search the site → Remove.
- Safari (iPhone): Settings → Apps → Safari → Advanced → Website Data → remove the site.
- Firefox: click the padlock → Clear cookies and site data.
Individual drafts can be deleted in the invoice list. Issued invoices can be cancelled; they stay in your list so that invoice numbers are never reused.
Note: private/incognito windows, clearing browsing data, or switching browser or device will also mean your saved invoices are not available there.
8. Your rights
We handle personal data in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (and, for visitors from the EU/UK, the GDPR). Invoice data stays on your device, so the only personal data we handle is analytics data (see section 4) and what you send us by email. You can ask us to access, correct or delete your email correspondence at any time.
9. Children
This tool is meant for businesses and professionals and is not directed at children under 18.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change how the site handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
